By Baptism, we are cleansed of original sin, receive sanctifying grace, and become members of the Church, the Body of Christ. Parents and godparents profess faith on behalf of the child to be Baptized. They then have the responsibility of witnessing to the child the teachings of Christ and His Church.
Baptism preparation classes are required for both parents and godparents (sponsors) of children 0-7 years old at least once every 5 years. Click on the " On-Demand Baptism Preparation Class for Parents & Godparents" in the "LINKS" sidebar . Upon successful completion, you will receive a Certificate of Completion via return email.Godparents/sponsors must fulfill certain eligibility requirements (as required by Canon Law of the Roman Catholic Church). Please see the Baptism Information Form in the "DOCUMENTS" sidebar for those requirements. The Baptism Information Form must be completed and submitted to the parish office prior to the Baptism along with a government-issued birth certificate.
Infant baptisms (0-7 years of age) are normally scheduled on Saturday mornings/early afternoons; however, other days/times may be discussed with the minister of Baptism.
Children older than 7 years of age require additional preparation about the sacrament of Baptism before they may be baptized. This additional preparation normally takes place as part of their Religious Education in which they must be enrolled.

In the miracle of the Eucharist, we receive the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ, which unites us more closely to Him and nourishes our love of God and one another. Reconciliation heals and strengthens us to avoid future sin. In persona Christi, the priest absolves us of our sins. Preparation for First Holy Communion and Reconciliation takes place through weekly Religious Education instruction.
In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ. Preparation for Confirmation takes place through weekly Religious Education instruction.
